On behalf of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), I extend warm greetings and goodwill to all participants. We are honored to be part of this significant event, discussing global trade dynamics and opportunities for collaboration.

Non-Oil Export Statistical Data (2023-2025)
– 2025 (H1): Nigeria’s non-oil exports hit $3.225 billion, marking a 19.59% increase compared to H1 2024.
– Top Export Destinations (H1 2025): Netherlands (18.64%), United States (8.42%), and India (8.36%).
– Top Export Products (H1 2025)¹ ²:
– Cocoa and derivatives: accounted for 41.11% of total non-oil export value.
– Urea/Fertiliser: 17.65%.
– Cashew nuts: 12.35%.
– Shipment Volume (H1 2025): 4.04 million metric tonnes, up from 3.83 million metric tonnes in H1 2024.
The security infrastructure around the farm environment and rural areas should be strengthened to ensure uninterrupted supply of products . And stakeholders especially the agro exporters should take advantage of the standard trade facility development ( STDF) promoted by WTO to improve the quality of sesame and cashew . Also NEPC offers registrants free FDA and HACCP certification
The growth is attributable to increased global demand for Nigerian products, expanded market access through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and targeted NEPC-led export interventions
